From everything I’ve read he also trains harder then any other cyclist out there. Combine that with a lot of natural abilty and it’s not surprising he wins. Plus, he’s always focused almost entirely on the TdF.—Rich

He’s training while they’re racing. Look at the months he’s already spent preparing for an attempt at the hour record. Many people able to beat him haven’t enough money to mount such a campaign. Nor do they have acces to Trek’s tech facilities or the sponsors to build them a velodrome for a one time effort.—Zoot

Anybody racing in the elite pro circuit has lots of natural ability or they couldn’t have made it that far. His team is his greatest strength. Take away the TdF wins and his palmares are less than mediocre.—Zoot
