While taking Music 148, a class in African Dance-Drumming with CK Ladzekpo, I designed a drumming notation called "tick notation". It's intended to be easier for drummers to read and to show the relationships between rhythms more clearly than traditional music notation.

These are some of the rhythms and songs we're learning, written in tick notation.
- Rhythmic Framework (the 12-beat bell pattern with 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 subdivisions, 2006-11-01)
- Sovu (support instruments, introduction, and episodes 1 and 2, 2006-11-10)
